During the IGCSE Options Evening, Year 10 pupils and their parents had the opportunity to meet again with the Founding Head Master, Mr. Matthew Bartlett, to:
- Learn about key information about core and optional IGCSE subjects.
- Understand factors to consider when choosing subjects.
- Receive personal consultations with Mr. Matthew Bartlett and Mr. Kirk Green (Deputy Head of Senior School).
Entering Year 10 at BCVN signifies a crucial stage in pupils’ lifelong learning journey. With BCVN’s Pupil-Centred Learning (PCL) framework, pupils are empowered to participate in decisions about their own learning choices. Through the close connection with Brighton College UK and our continuous communication with parents, we ensure that pupils have sustained access to comprehensive information and advice for them to make the most suitable decisions.
BCVN believes strongly in pupil agency. By allowing pupils to take the lead in decision-making processes, their independence, critical thinking skills, confidence, and willingness to take risks are nurtured.
